On this day the rainy gloomy weather continues. However the temperature has begun to drop which adds to the misery index. I’m boosting my mood with a cup of RYZE mushroom coffee, a gift from my sister. It contains six kinds of mushrooms and states that it promotes happiness.
Paper Airplane Book
How much fun is this? I thought Christmas was over and then I went to get my mail, I received a book of instructions and printed patterns for paper airplanes. It was a gift from my cousin Regina. This is going to be an interesting enterprise, working on the flight line, creating my own air force.
Throwback Thursday – December 2022
The featured photo for this posting is that of a black-capped chickadee that is exhibiting leucism. The bird is healthy, just missing some pigment. The Chickadee visited a year ago and I took a series of photos. So far it hasn’t been back. An opportunity to track the movement of a unique individual bird.
There was a lot more ice in 2022. It was combined with some flooding resulting in nature ice sculptures when the water level fell. These photos were taken on the same day as my Chickadee photos.

Closing Out 2023
It has been quite a “strange” year. Readers will note that there are a lot more postings on this website. I plan to continue that into the new year. I’ve made some improvements to this website. Commenters no longer need to prove they are not a robot. I have software to determine that. Commenters no longer need to give their email address and website info. Those fields are now optional.
There are now many more photos in postings. The photos are loaded from my Flickr account. Sometimes there might be a slight delay or hiccup. However the benefits of so many photos outweighs an occasional glitch.
I’ve implemented an advanced search widget for the site. This is helpful for me as well as my readers.
