The Birds, Bees and Bears
I am enjoying sitting on the deck watching the bees visit the last blossoms before the killing frosts. Bluebirds have returned for one last time to my feeders. However bird feeders are attractive to a larger animal.

Marcia and Mark Wilson founded Eyes on Owls in 1994. They present wild owls as an educational enterprise. The owls they care for are permanently disabled and cannot survive in the wild.
Fall has arrived and the bears are preparing for hibernation. I had this black bear visit me today to check out my bird feeder. He (or she) showed NO FEAR of this puny human.
I turned 75 this month. Where did those years go? I’m entering the final chapter of my life and I have a few thoughts about that.
