On This Day – Senior Lunch

December 20, 2023 (Wednesday)

On this day it was cold and clear. Thankfully the roads had dried off after the rain so there was no black ice to worry about. Wednesday is Senior Lunch day at the Congregational Church. The conversation was lively, we talked about all the stuff we tend to accumulate. We all have too much stuff. There were a lot of goodies to eat. Delicious soup prepared by Zoe Traffie, Maple donuts from the Ben’s Maple Store, Christmas cookies and chocolates. It was almost a Christmas Party.

Happy Birthday

It is a busy day for Birthdays on Facebook. Happy Birthday to Carl, Barbara, Carl and Bob.

Storm Cleanup

I did a bit of brush cleanup around the downed tree. Now I can get outside to feed the crows. I was doing okay until I stepped into a muddy spot and soaked my shoes and socks. At that point I decided to stop for the day.

Daily Picture Theme –

I participate in a daily picture challenge on the social media site Spoutible. Everyday there is a different subject announced as a Daily Picture Theme. I select an appropriate  photo from my collection to share. The theme today is #Care. The first thing that came to mind was medical care. Those of us in this age group have lots of medical care. My Aunt Lillian was a nurse. I believe this wonderful photo of her was taken in the 1930s.
