Fourteen Years Ago
There is a certain poignancy to my On This Day project. Photography captures moments in time and as the years pass I realize how many photos I have of friends and family members who are no longer with us. Such as the case with this group of photos which has photos of Deb Holmes and Lynda Swenson, two friends that were taken too soon.
OctoberFest
In 2009 the annual Fall fair in New Ipswich was called “OctoberFest”, later I believe it was called “AutumnFest”. However it has the basic elements of any Fall fair: food, music, crafts, games, animals and a bonfire. It occurs late in October and there were several years that it was quite chilly These photos were taken on October 25, 2009 on a sunny day with seasonable temperatures.
