“He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe is as good as dead, his eyes are closed.”

Peterborough Labyrinth
The Labyrinth has returned to the Peterborough Town Hall as a New Years tradition after the Covid lockdown. I walked it with friends on New Years day. It is a wonderful way to start the year.
A “Fortune Cookie”
After completing the Labyrinth I caught sight of a basket of aphorisms for the New Year. I was especially taken with the one that I chose, which is printed as the title of this posting. The quote is especially meaningful for me because my current reading selection cover topics of Science which has always given me a sense of wonder. How apropos for me.
Music
My friends are musicians so after grounding ourselves with a walking meditation we retreated to their home to play some music. We sang some of the tunes of Ian Tyson who died on December 29, 2022 including Four Strong Winds.
2023
All I can say about 2023 is that it is the product of three prime numbers 7 X 17 X 17. All the problems of 2022 have crossed over in 2023. Hopefully things will improve. Best to all of you for this New Year.
