My Mom was a very practical and organized person. It came as no surprise that she had written her own obituary. However it is impossible task to distill a century of life into so few words. The Funeral will be held on January 20, 2024 at the Community Church in New Boston. It will be live-streamed for the many friends and family that cannot attend in person.
Betty J. Poltrack 102 of New Boston, New Hampshire died peacefully on January 9th 2024 surrounded by her family at her home in New Boston. She was born in Bellingham, Washington, the daughter of William and Edna Pratt and was a CT resident for many years before moving to New Boston in 1997. A retired school teacher who served for 25 years in the Trumbull CT Public Schools, she was an active volunteer for St Vincents’s Medical Center, The Fairfield Public School system and the American Red Cross. Her volunteer work in New Boston included Friends of the Whipple Free Library, New Boston Historical Society, New Boston Central School and she volunteered at the Catholic Medical Center. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony D Poltrack and her daughter Patricia A Poltrack of Houston TX. She is survived by her one son and daughter-in-law John and Virginia Poltrack of New Ipswich NH, one daughter and son-in-law Susan and Brad Carr of New Boston NH, grandchildren Matthew Poltrack, Emily Poltrack, Joshua Poltrack, Stephanie Brink, Jesse Carr, great grandson Alexander Carr and several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held at the French and Rising Funeral Home 17 South Mast Street Goffstown NH 03045 on Friday January 19th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A Funeral will be held at the Community Church of New Boston on Saturday January 20th at 10:00 AM. . Memorial contributions may be made to the New Boston Fire Department Rescue squad. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Goffstown NH in the Spring.
