On This Day – Willow Tree Studio

December 16, 2023 (Saturday)

The introduction to Hip-Hop dance is offered on Saturday morning at 8 AM at the Willow Tree Studio. I do the best I can to follow the dance moves. The Studio is located at the “School Yard” next to the the New Ipswich Market. I also attend the yoga sessions at 9 AM on Tuesday and Thursday. Willow Tree Studio is officially recognized as an approved gym thru Silver Sneakers and Tivity Health- Prime.  This means that it is free through my Medicare plan. I am surprised that more people don’t take advantage of this. It is fun and you feel good after exercising. Perhaps when the New Years resolutions are made the attendance will increase.

How about this weather?

It was such a pleasant day. The temperature was in the mid 50s with no wind. If this is winter weather I am okay with it. There were lots of bluebirds today.

I only have one complaint about my avian visitors. They have the nasty habit of defecating in their drinking water. It doesn’t take long for some algae to start to grow, even in winter. Cleaning up after the birds is part of my “choring around” and it is lot easier when the sun is shining and the temperatures in the 50s instead of being cold with snow drifts.

A Christmas gift for the workers at the Green Center given by Anne and Boone Somero.

Saturday is Green Center day and I was pleasantly surprised when I was given some maple syrup by long time patrons Anne and Boone Somero. This will be just the thing with my morning oatmeal.

Happy Birthday

I make a big deal about birthdays, my own as well as others. Every year each of us completes a trip around the sun, it is a milestone that should be acknowledged. I do that by sharing photos. Greg Algieri is celebrating a birthday today. Greg is a regular at the music jams, playing bass or guitar. He is also a member of a bluegrass band. Happy Birthday Greg.
