On This Day – March 3, 2015

MARCH spelled out in plastic tiles

South Boston

The question on this day is whether we will get buried in snow tonight, just like 2015. On that day we had a nice day with my daughter in South Boston. First stop was at the Paramount for breakfast.

Seating Policy
Paramount Restaurant – Mar 3, 2015

The Paramount’s Seating Policy:
Please Order and Pay before being seated
Wondering Why?
When the Paramount opened, its original owners enforced an unusual seating policy; customers were not allowed to sit before they got their food.
We quickly learned that due to the high volume of customers and limited seats, saving a table disrupts the
delicate balance of people to tables. Therefore, not saving a table ensures all customers (yes, you too), will have a table when needed. It may seem hard to believe, but it’s been working well since 1937.
Thanks for your patience and enjoy your meal!

Breck

We spent some quality cat time with Breck, may daughter’s Bengal cat. He was a very handsome fellow.

Snowed In
Buried in South Boston – Mar 3, 2015

Boston was pummeled with a heavy snowfall in 2015. The narrow streets of South Boston were filled with lumps of snow encased cars. I bet folks were thankful for public transportation.

Of course once you labor to dig your car out from a dirty frozen snowbank, you want to mark the parking space. The traditional way of doing that in Southie is with a plastic chair. However any object will suffice.

Whole Foods

What would be the most crunchy-granola item that one might find at Whole Foods? One contender might be a Kale Smoothie. Mmm, doesn’t that sound delicious?

That’s it for a look back. Hopefully the predicted snow this evening will be manageable. Thanks for reading.
