Cape Escape 2022
The Outer Cape is not very wide. It is only a few minutes drive from a rental house to Coast Guard beach on the east shore (ocean side) and First Encounter Beach on the west coast (bay side). This makes very easy to schedule a sunrise and sunset into our daily activities.
I definitely prefer to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic. Something about seeing that glowing orb appear over the horizon makes me think all is right with the universe.

Every sunrise and sunset is unique, sometimes just a red ball and sometimes a dramatic display of crepuscular rays.

First Light
The skies are light for a half hour before sunrise and after sunset. Usually this does not present an opportunity for photos. However on August 29, 2022, a hole opened in the clouds allowing a bit of twilight to illuminate the waves.

Sunset
Sunrise is quiet and serene. Sunset is a party event. People taking selfies and applauding the Sun for setting. Bookends for the day.
