Birthday Lunch

Dalia's Place, 50 Main Street, Greenville, NH

September is my birth month. I was not happy with just a single birth day so I extend the celebration from Labor Day through to the first killing frost. September weather is awesome in New Hampshire, with warm days and cool nights. The Red Maples are changing color and I’m picking bushels of tomatoes. I mark my birth month with a series of lunches with my friends and family.

Luis Matos is the chef at Dalia’s Place. We share the same birthday. Therefore it was definitely on my list of dining venues. Lou greeted me when i walked in.

I ordered fish and chips. Lou gets the fish fresh from the docks in New Bedford. The fries are also freshly prepared, not frozen. It was delicious.

I couldn’t resist taking a few photos of Lou, Dalia and their niece Nicole.

Pizza!

Before I left, Lou invited me to try a slice of pizza, his latest addition to the menu. It was made with chorizo and is delicious.

I didn’t leave without ordering a bag of rolls to go. When you taste the rolls at dinner you will understand why.
