You know that old trees just grow stronger,
And old rivers grow wilder ev’ry day
Old people just grow lonesome
Waiting for someone to say, “Hello in there, hello.”
John Prine – Hello in There
Another birthday already? Jeez, where does the time go? As I approach the 3/4 mark I finally understand what is important to me. Friends, family, music, photography, art, nature and spirituality. Thanks everyone for the Birthday greetings, cards, donations to Raices, money in my tip jar and all those “thumbs up” on Facebook. Anyway how did I spend this day?
Morning
Lately I’ve been starting the day on the Temple Town Green learning the 24 step Yang Form. Join us for Tai Chi / Qi Gong at 7:30 AM on the Temple Common.
Lunch
A grand finale to a nice lunch with friends. After seeing the sparks fly I ordered some of these sparklers from Amazon.
The Gift of Nature
September is the gateway to Autumn. We’ve had plenty of rain and it has be a great year for tomatoes, flowers and weeds. I’ve never seen as many Monarch butterflies as I have this year. What a birthday gift.
Just Grow Lonesome?
I love the songs of John Prine, but don’t think Hello in There will be my ultimate fate, I am more of a Crazy as a Loon guy.
