Look What I Saw at the Green Center

Look What I Saw at the Green Center 1

We had some snow on Saturday but it did not deter folks from bringing items to the Green Center. March has arrived and we are reaping the rewards of spring cleaning.

Seasonal Section

Elaine has done a great job setting up a Saint Patrick’s Day area. The Center will be open on March 16, 2019 so there is still time to get some items for the “wearing of the green”.

Food Preparation

I wonder which product development team thought up these two products. Imagine trying to clean them.

Costumes

We received an entire bin of Anime costumes. I know nothing of Anime unlike young Parker.

Technology

We usually receive at least one item that the volunteers could not identify. This week it was an electrical gizmo with the logo Force of Nature. A Google search revealed that it produces “electrolyzed water” and Hypochlorous acid.

I was excited to find a VR headset for a smartphone. I tried it with my phone displaying a 100 year old stereo-photo of Appleton Academy.

Arts & Crafts

The winner for best craft item goes for a skeleton constructed from plastic milk jugs.
