I am the co-chairman of the Garden Shop at the annual New Ipswich Children’s Fair in New Ipswich, NH. Angelika Weber has assisted me for the last several years. In 2018, at the conclusion of the fair, she had a suggestion for the left over plants.

Angelika chose a small triangle of land at the intersection of Smithville and Fox Farm Road for her garden.

However the soil needed some amendments. Every day Angelika would carry over bags of sawdust and bark from their firewood cutting for mulch. She enlisted the help of her husband and son in this effort. The garden survived the winter cold, road salt and hungry deer. This is how it look in July 2019.

Ironically Angelika is not around to enjoy the fruits of her labor. She is on an extended bicycle trip in Germany with her son. However before she left she enlisted the aid of a fellow Gardener. I encountered Kleta Dudley cheerfully pulling weeds on a very hot July day.
