There is a story behind each item that is donated to the New Ipswich Recycling Center. These are stories of downsizing, spring cleaning, loss and change. These objects become part of a new story when they are adopted by our patrons.

Dawn Bishop is a regular customer who shops for women’s handbags and various bric-a-brac. I learned that she works at the Antrim Sobriety Center of New Hampshire. This is an inpatient rehab center for adult women with drug and alcohol misuse disorders. Dawn explained these women do not have much and she uses some of items to build self esteem.

We were wondering if the crocheted clown would ever find a home, However it become the focal point of a display at The Antrim House along with other objects from the Green Center.
