I served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972.  I’ve reminisced about events that happened 50 years ago.  I don’t miss being in the service. I hated much about it but the not the people.  I’ve lost contact with most of them, but I have the photographs, and a blog as a platform for sharing.

I found these snapshots among my memorabilia stuffed into an old  photo album.  I shot 99% of my photos with color slide film, and it was a bit odd to find a few black and white prints.

I wish I could find all the people by name, but after 50 years the memory grows dim. I took these photos aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard in 1970. Enjoy the slide show.
