Week 28 (2024)

Another hot week

Didn’t get much “choring” in. It is just too hot for anything strenuous. I’m thankful for the generosity of our neighbors who have made their pool available all week. The Smithville seniors have spent a lot of time just staying cool. More flowers have been blooming as the summer progresses as well as their attending pollinators. Saw a few honeybees on the Thyme in the yard and the first Monarch Butterfly.

Golden Anniversary

Where did the time go? Hard to believe that we’ve been married 50 years this week. We went out for lunch on Saturday for a quiet celebration, and again on Sunday with the kids. My daughter brought ridiculously large helium filled balloons spelling out “50”.
