Looking Back to October 29, 2021
Good morning readers, it looks like we’ve reached the end of our summerlike weather in the Northeast. It was fun while it lasted. On this day in 2021 we had lunch with my son in Rye, NH. I always enjoy these outing because it gives me the opportunity to photograph the coastline. There have been times when I’ve seen seals, cormorants and plenty of gulls. Other times it is just the ocean and the rocky coast. In either situation, I’m just happy to be there. On this trip it was just the sea, sky and land.
Culling the Collection
Readers, I hope you are enjoying the “On This Day” theme. It is actually a workflow process for me. When I was shooting with film I was very careful about clicking the shutter, knowing that I only had 24 or 36 chances. That is not the case with digital cameras. Taking a burst shot of a bird in flight is effortless. Later when I review the photos I discover that I have 200 out of focus photos of a partial wing. I have the bad habit of not deleting the duds immediately and now the disks are full of clutter. Taking things a day at a time is a chance to display the best and trash the rest. Thanks for traveling along with me through the years.
My wife and I also. I kept a cabin cruiser on the Great Bay in the 60s.
