Members of the B Co. 35th Virginia Cavalry Bn. “Chiswell’s Exiles” engaged in a reenactment of a skirmish with Union Soldiers in the fields of the farm. The On This Day Project

Alert readers may have noticed that I have been posting on a more regular basis to this website. That is a commitment to myself to bring some order to the chaos that is my photo collection. I have taken thousands of photos but have been lax about adding labels, tags and supporting descriptions. Over the years I lose track of the places, people and events.

One Day at a Time (Order Out of Chaos)

I’m tackling this problem one day at a time. I do a search of the photos by date and see what I can find. The year is not important important. I find recurrent themes when sorting by day: Spring flowers, summers in Cape Cod, autumn leaves, winter snow.
