Rockland, Maine

My niece manages a rental property in Rockland, Maine. After a tour of her property I went for a walk to scout out the waterfront which was just a few blocks away. There were boatyards, a schooner, docks and what I assume were lobster processing plants. I found a long dock which jutted out into Lermond Cove. Because I am an early riser I knew it would be perfect place to watch the sun rise.

Not much of a sunrise, but the colors were great

A crow kept me company, while I watched some Great Herons fish in the shallows.

The Herons were just bit too far away for my lens. But it was obvious that this was a favorite spot for them and they were not as skittish as the ones I see at home

What a way to start the day. I headed back for breakfast at Rock City Coffee and our trip back home.
