Thank You

It was appropriate to have cacti plants for sale at the Garden Shop for the 161st Children’s Fair. It has been hot and we are in the midst of a drought.  Sales were slow, probably due to the drought. Most of us are spending our time watering what plants were already have rather than acquiring new ones.

The Children’s Fair Garden Shop is solely dependent on donated plants for its success. As in years past, our local businesses and gardeners have generously provided a wonderful variety of plants and flowers.

Angelika Weber

I am the Chairman of the Garden Shop. However in that role I manage to do very little work. I ask for donations, attend a few meetings and socialize with the fairgoers.

While I was flitting around taking photos and playing tunes with the Lizard Band, Angelika Weber was making sales at the Garden Shop. Her help was invaluable. Thank you.

Mason Hollow Nursery

Sue and Chuck Anderson opened Mason Hollow Nursery in 2001.It is located at 47 Scripps Lane in Mason, NH. They specialize in Hosta varieties. This year they were able to take their first post-Covid vacation the week of the fair and weren’t able to donate plants as they had in past years. We should be back on track for the 162nd Fair in 2023.

The Garden Shop always gets a few items from our locale Gardners. This year we received some Clivia plants, Hostas, Rose of Sharon, and a  Dendrobium orchid. Thank you.
