Thursday Picture Theme – June 5, 2025
The Daily Picture Theme
I participate in a daily photo challenge on the social media site Spoutible. Each day a different photo theme is listed and users upload a photo that best represents the theme. Sometimes it can be challenging to find a single photo for a theme but usually I have several candidates. Rather than make multiple postings I decided to create a single posting with a gallery of photos.

It is ironic that I am writing about the Picture Photo Theme TAN as I am recovering from yet another skin cancer MOHS surgery.
As a teenager I mowed lawns as a part time job. I was alway shirtless. My dad was a master tanner, he must have had an endless supply of melanin. I inherited my mother’s fairer skin but I still could attain a slight bronzing. There was no such thing as sunscreen save the zinc oxide ointments that life guards applied to their noses. Note how pale I was at 11 months. Second hand smoke wasn’t an issue either.

So young and relaxed. My Dad got VERY dark in the Summer too and usually with that unmistakable cigarette hanging out of his mouth. You were so adorable – like his little albino baby son!
