This is the daily journal entry for the 16th day of June in 2024. The Daily Picture Theme is #Halo. Featured photo is that of a wooden monk at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Peterborough, NH. He has a wooden frisbee style halo and two birds. I’ve alway lamented not being able to see people’s aura, even if it was made of wood.

Father’s Day
I get two holidays a year, my birthday and Father’s Day and here we are with the second. It was a beautiful morning, cool and clear. I was saddened to see that something ate my zinnias last night, all that remains are sticks with half eaten leaves, I babied those things in pots and finally transplanted them yesterday. Next time I’m going for more toxic flowers like hellebore. The Sweet William and Bee Balm were unaffected.
I had a lovely Father’s Day. My son had a BBQ at his house. Ginny made Potato salad, I marinated some chicken thighs. Also marinated meat from Tuckaway and a flat of fresh strawberries from Barrett Hill, freshly picked from the field, so good,
My nephew brought some weapons for share and tell, I was especially interested in the 12 mm Gryoject, a type of rocket gun. No shots were fired, this was strictly an educational experience.
Later we had a chance to try out Boxbollen, a scandinavian fitness toy. It resembles those paddle boards with the rubber ball. It was a lot of fun.

Overwhelmed with Email? Unsubscribe
A subscriber asked when the daily pictures were going to end. I suspect he was feeling overwhelmed since I’ve been posting something every day for 45 days. I answered that it will end in 8120 days on my 100th birthday. At that time the website will be renamed to “My Strange Life – Season 2”. Of course it far more likely that some calamity will intervene and put an end to all of this, hopefully past the 8000th post,
This is my introspection project as you might have surmised by the quotations I’ve included about the journaling process. However I share it online because I have all these photos to review, Doing it a day of a time is almost manageable. Subscribers receive an email for each posting and that might be too much. If that is the case please feel free to unsubscribe or ask me to unsubscribe you. It is not my intention to SPAM anyone. I’ll leave that up to the politicians and drug companies.
Twelve Years Ago – June 16, 2012 (Saturday)
Twelve years ago we visited Ginny’s family on Vancouver Island. These photos were taken in Victoria when we were guests of Joy Charleson and her family.

I love both of you. This family has made MSL* possible. If not for you (and the rest of the gang) my life would be a lot less interesting.
