This is the daily journal entry for the 8th day of June in 2024. The Daily Picture Theme is #Rust. The featured photo is a rusty cable clamp. A little WD-40 and I’m sure it would loosen up.

“Everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise.”

Cooler Today

It was much cooler this morning, There were sprinkles overnight but generally we had blue skies most of the day. I had my 8:00 Hip-Hop class which is always fun. I still manage to be on the wrong foot during some of the transitions.

Opening Day

It was opening day for the New Ipswich Historical Society today from 1 to 3 PM. We played some tunes on the lawn. I played guitar with Christine Anderson on fiddle and John Rosenfelder on bass. We did manage to attract an audience of one. The only mishap was an airborn tent from a wind gust. The Society building will be open following the same schedule as the Barrett House Tours throughout the summer.

Five Years Ago – June 8, 2019

Photos remind me of the past and it is inevitable that I come across photos of those who have passed. I took these photos on June 8, 2019 when Chris and Lisa Poltrack came to New Boston to visit my mother. Lisa died in December 2023 and my mother in January 2024. I am happy that I have these photos to remember them.
