Travelling down this coal town road
Listening to my rubber tires whine
Good-bye to buckeye and white sycamore
I'm leaving you behind

The picture theme today is #Travel. The extent of my traveling happened when I joined the Navy in 1968 and “saw the world”, At least the part of the world that was connected with Vietnam. I chose a photo of empty seats on a Washington State ferry for my “travel” photo. That photo was taken in June 2012 when we traveled to Vancouver Island to visit my wife’s relatives. Note that the Daily Picture Theme will be going on a hiatus for a week, but I will have some content for the Sunday post.

Cloudy and cold but no frost, 35 degrees this morning. The Northern Lights were visible last night but I missed them. I have another chance tonight. We had a pre-mothers day BBQ at my son’t home. There was plenty of different marinated types of meat and sausages, potato and fruit salad and Guacamole of course. i didn’t manage to get a group photo but I did get a shot of a Great Blue Heron in the river and a few of todays hi-jinks.
