The theme for today is #Tense
I participate in a photography challenge on Spoutible, a social media site, A hashtagged theme is posted each day from the account of Daily Picture Theme which describes itself as “The Big Photo Album of Our Community.” The photo theme for today is #Tense but I could not think of a photo to represent that state of being. Instead I decided to choose a photo that represents what can relieve tenseness.
I’ve been practicing Qi-Gong and Tai Chi for several years in Temple, NH and recently started taking some Yoga classes in New Ipswich. Its all good for the mind and body.
On This Day – April 18th (2007)
It is cold and wet today on this day in 2024 but nothing like it was 17 years ago. The rains came and there was flooding. I took some photos at the Flood Control Dam 35 in New Ipswich. The water level reached the top of the earthern dam and into the run off area. The dam did exactly what it was supposed to, slow the amount of water that flows to the towns further down. This is highest I’ve seen the water in the years I’ve been here.

For the last couple of posts I’ve been sharing photos taken at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. However that was not the only art gallery I visited. I took a quick look at the Street Art at Graffiti Alley in Cambridge, MA.
