I’m been a frequent visitor to Mason Hollow Nursery for many years. I alway enjoy discussing plants with Chuck Anderson. I’ve had the opportunity to take photos of the orchids and carnivourous plants in the greenhouse. Recently owners Chuck and Sue Anderson were featured on New Hampshire Chronicle. The segment can be watched with from this link.
Mason Hollow Nursery Open House (2012)
I don’t have many photos of Chuck and Sue, normally I concentrate just on the plants. These are two I took in 2012 at an open house. How cute they were in matching T-shirts.
The Orchids
Chuck can rattle off the names of all his orchids and describe which misty cliff it might grow on in Borneo. Entering his greenhouse on a cold and dreary New Hampshire day is quite an experience. I’ve taken many photos over the years and this is just a sample.
Sundews and Nepenthes
Amidst the orchids one can find some carnivous plants, mostly sundews and pitcher plants. Some of these were hardy enough to warrant their own bed outside.
