On This Day – November 3, 2018 (Saturday)
Five years ago the town of the New Ipswich had a dedication of a new fire engine at the station. I drove down to see what it looked like.
Today – November 3, 2023 (Friday)
No frost this morning, it was a “balmy” 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Tai Chi at the Temple Town Hall to start the day. I caught one mouse in the attic and put it out for the crows with some peanuts and dog food. Unfortunately the neighbors cat got it before the crows. I managed to solve Wordle, Mini-crossword, Waffle but Connections stumped me. I just couldn’t think “out of the box” today.
My daughter noticed this culinary treat at Wegmans Grocery store. We were just discussing how we preferred Thomas’s English Muffins to other brands when we discovered they found a way to ruin the brand. What is the mania over “Pumpkin Spice” anyway? Notice that it is artificially flavored, What was Thomas thinking?
We had a nice lunch at the Town Square Restaurant. I opted for something that was not fried for a change, a Sesame Salmon Bowl. I feel healthier already.
Sesame Salmon Bowl
Twenty-eight cents till payday
I had the brilliant idea of monetizing this website as a way to make it self sufficient, covering the hosting fees with affiliate and advertising dollars. At first things went well with an affiliate account with Amazon, but I ran afoul of their policies and was banned for life by Jeff Bezos.
However I had another option, advertising with the Google Adsense program. It seemed like a no-brainer. They would place ads on my website and when people clicked or bought things I would get money. What I didn’t fully appreciate was how low the amounts were going to be. There is a payout threshold of a hundred dollars which I’ve only managed to reach twice. The last payday was April 21, 2019. However I have almost reached the threshold. Just twenty-eight cents to go. Look how close I am.
W D Ashley would have been happy with this fire engine for he was a fireman for a few years.
What a lovely day you had.
Not a cloud in the sky here, comfotably warm. Betty and I went to the ocean.
Visiting the ocean is always renewing and having a canine companion makes it even better.
