Who was John Parmenter? We don’t know. What we do know is that his photo gets the most comments from visitors to the New Ipswich Historical Society. It easy to understand why. This guy looks like some character from the Alaska wilderness. The photo was a gift from Mrs. Carrie Knowlton to the New Ipswich Historical Society.

This photo and others were on display at the annual Autumnfest in New Ipswich. It was a beautiful warm October day. We had a steady stream of visitors. Pastor Ken Whitsun was looking for information about an abandoned house on Main Street which had a connection with the church.

We printed some of the photos in a large format on foam backing which are available from the society.

Thanks to all who stopped by to see the photos. Find us on Facebook or our Webpage.
