I’m a registered Democrat in the Town of New Ipswich, NH. This is akin to being a blue boat in a a sea of red. New Ipswich votes overwhelmingly for Republican candidates. Rod Watkins came up with the novel idea of forming the New Ipswich Democrats and on March 16, 2019 we held our first caucus.
NH Senator Melanie Levesque attended the caucus and spoke about bipartisan legislation in the State House and answered questions from the attendees.
Hillsborough County Chair Roger Lessard officiated at the caucus which consisted of voting for Committee officers and choosing delegates for the convention. The entire process went smoothly for our first caucus. The meeting was short , we collected a few dollars and refreshments were served.
