When I started moving all these bales of hay, I started to wonder if I underestimated the amount of work to create a No-Till garden. However I finished most of the work today. I still have a large pile of loose hay to move but that is project for another day.

I made good use of my garden cart for moving the bales into the garden. I also laid out a row of bales along the border of my day lilies with the idea of increasing the size of the bed. Hopefully the bales will smother the grass so I can add an additional row of flowers.
Whenever I work in the garden I get to experience something in the natural world. While I was moving the hay bales I was greeted with a large toad who posed for a photo.
